DESCRIPTION:7 PM  Reception\, 7:30 PM Lecture\n\n\n\nWe are excited to welcome back Jeff Groff as our guest speaker.  Jeff is currently Estate Historian at Winterthur and holds an MA from the Winterthur Program in Early American Culture at the University of Delaware. His research interests include architecture and interiors of American country places\, the Colonial Revival\, Quaker life\, garden history\, and “gentlemen farming.” \n\n\n\nThe Trust is grateful to the Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens\, for their generous sponsorship of the “A Change to Suburbia” lecture on Wednesday\, April 20\, 2022. Plan to arrive early for the lecture and enjoy the botanical gardens wonderful collection of trees\, shrubs\, wildflowers and ferns.\n\n\n\nJeff brings us “A Change to Suburbia” which will examine the period from the 1930s to the 1960s\, the end of the great estate era and the development of the Main Line as the suburb we know today. This is the time when the first malls were being built and corporations began moving out of Philadelphia.
