French Generals Lafayette and Duportail served on George Washington’s headquarters staff during the Valley Forge encampment 1777–1778. Today a short, wooded walk connects their winter quarters in Tredyffrin Township and Valley Forge National Historic Park. Guides will present French connection stories during our country’s founding.
